Old Dominion University – Virginia Beach serves as the home for Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences Ellmer School of Nursing at ODU. The pre-licensure baccalaureate program and the Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia program are offered on-site. RN-to-BSN, Master’s and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs are offered on-site. RN-to-BSN, Master’s and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs are offered online, but with some face-to-face training and academic functions offered on-site at scheduled times.  Staff associated with the Ellmer School of Nursing can be reached by phone or by email:

Norfolk State University (NSU) at VBHEC is the epicenter for a variety of public health and community initiatives. Programs and activities include a focus on continuing and professional education, communications, career pathways and support for academics. VBHEC is also the location of the Center for Public Health Initiatives at NSU (CPHI) and the Associate Dean for Community Engagement and Outreach for the Joint School of Public Health at ODU and NSU.
